Great Public Speaking

Even the most serious public speaking subjects can benefit from humor, but the humor should be sprinkled throughout the body of the presentation. This same technique can be very effective in ending a mostly humorous speaking engagement. Don't be afraid to use humor when you speak in public. Speak Schmeak

One group member talked about how much confidence she had speaking to a room full of students, but wasn't sure she'd have the same confidence in a room full of colleagues or superiors. When she's ready to move onto the bigger weights - speaking to more difficult groups - it won't be easy or comfortable, but she'll pick up the heavier weights and start lifting until her confidence muscles are stronger.
