Dennis Rader and the Clutter Family - Intersection of Two Stories in Kansas

Jane Genova: Speechwriter - Ghostwriter

That was BTK (Bondage, Torture, Kill) of Kansas - Dennis Rader. Last night "20/20" provided an amazing presentation of the mind of a serial killer. The narrative was primarily through the experience of his daughter.    From a young age, Rader wanted to be a serial killer. He connected the dots on that goal when he was sitting in his car with a girlfriend and over the radio blasted the story of the murder of the Clutter family, also in KS.

Common Law vs. Media Coverage - Which Will Win the Day in "Aphrodite di Kansas City?"

Jane Genova: Speechwriter - Ghostwriter

Under common law in Kansas, a child must be under the complete supervision of an adult. The fee the artist Bill Lyons set for the sculpture - "Aphrodite di Kansas City" - is $130k. Therefore, Sarah Goodman, mother of the child who toppled the art work in the museum, could be declared negligent - and responsible to pay for it. It was not insured.    The museum had its own insurance company - Travelers - send her a bill for the $130k.

None of That Tiny House Stuff Here

One such community is in Kansas. Residential real estate has had its ups and downs in how it's perceived as an investment. But, the reality is that many are still in the game. Even if the current downturn in the housing market puts their sales plans on hold, they still are banking, literally, on extracting a king's ransom from their key asset. For example, few McMansions are selling in the Connecticut suburbs since GE is relocating from Fairfield, CT to Boston.

Now many, if not most, boast awesome beds and sheets, flat screen tv’s and upgraded rooms.
