Excellent Humor Blog

Here is an excellent humor blog by Bala and Mark published in the Netherlands. It’s called the Indian Humor Blog. Don’t confuse it with the Netherlands Humor Blog which is published in India. One reason I like their blog is the list of favorite humorists: Seinfeld, George Carlin, Dave Barry, Erma Bombeck, and John Kinde! The cool thing is that their blog features a section on Observational Humor monologues.

Public Speaking - I like Humor. Where Can I Find It?

Great Public Speaking

Humor surrounds you if you just open your eyes to it. Next in line would be updated and personalized humor taken from other sources. You can find instantly usable humor (instant as soon as you practice and twist it around a little bit) on television, in the newspaper, in books, on the Internet, in Reader's Digest, in joke services, and from other speakers (always, always give credit). I have more than 400 volumes in my humor library now and it's growing all the time.

In Humor We Trust: The Only Influencers

Jane Genova: Speechwriter - Ghostwriter

If it's said, written, put on audio/video and isn't by a humorist, we don't trust it.    On the other hand there are the highly earnest, the uplifters, the windy [humor's core competence is brevity and timing], the very concerned, the too polished, and those who try too hard to seem to have a sense of humor.    The only influencers in these jaded times are those who have down cold satire, irony, sarcasm, and sardonic soundbites.
