Angelica Houston - Born into Fame, Struggling Against Irrelevance

Jane Genova: Speechwriter - Ghostwriter

What's immediately obvious: Angelica Houston looks older than her 67 years.   Born into fame as daughter of genius director John Houston , Angelica had every advantage in the film industry. That kind of observation isn't age-shaming. It's fair game when the focus is on a celebrity.  She reached the top by winning an Oscar.    Then, unlike some others in entertainment, she was unable to maintain relevance.

In "John Wick 4," the casting people can pass on having Angelica Houston back. The business folks behind the John Wick film franchise will probably release the 4th installment during the lazy crazy days of summer. The series, based on the scripting of "John Wick 3," is getting more jam-packed with impossible action-scene survival antics and less any real narrative. Audiences will put up with that in summer.

Memoirs, Secrets, Boredom Tipping Point - Brooke Shields, Angelica Houston, et al.

Jane Genova: Speechwriter - Ghostwriter

They are Brooke Shields and Angelica Houston. And, Houston allowed an abusive romantic relationship to continue for much much too long. Have memoirs become more self-serving (therapy, retaliation, anger management) than platforms of insight for readers? That could be.    In an era when there were fewer of them, we had less information about everything, and our own lives were less turbulent, it was titillating to read celebrity memoirs.

One of the most heart-wrenching tragedies during Katrina was that people were not allowed to bring their pets into shelters or on buses to Houston.    The media covered how one boy cried so hard when he found out that he couldn't have Snowball accompany him out of New Orleans that he vomited.
