Chicago Sun-Times - Publishes Blank First Page as Provocative Plea for Digital Subscribers

Today, reports The Hill , the Chicago Sun Times published its front page as totally blank. That was its way to position and package its plea for readers to become subscribers to the digital edition. Yes, the marketing initiative is provocative. But, will it, or anything else, save a media property whose origins had been in print? And, the larger question is: Aren't most writers going to have to embrace a career transition, sooner perhaps than later? The glut is growing.
