Speechwriter and/or novelist?

Joan Detz Speaker Services

The writing life

Joan Detz Speaker Services

If you read this blog often, you know my strong belief that speechwriters (who are normally anonymous) need to write more than just speeches. Speechwriters need to move outside their anonymity and get bylines: bylines from magazine articles, novels, blogs, non-fiction books, essays, op-ed pieces … in short, anything that gives you credit for your writing talent.
