But if you are a plumbing executive, it is unlikely you could go down to your local bookstore and find a plumbing joke book. Start a file right away for industry- specific information you find. Watch for industry newsletters so you can extract usable material.

The number of self-published print and e-books continue to grow exponentially while the number of books issued by traditional publishers declines. After an initial good week or two, books which were supposed bestsellers aren't selling too well.    I buy books for the ideas, not for the prestige of displaying it on my office bookshelf.    In addition, I don't buy books beyond a certain price point, even if I am going to refer to it in the long term.  Tags: Books
