It’s commonly thought that effective orators are blessed with a mysterious gift, but all successful speakers use the same simple techniques, and have been doing so at least since they were first taught by the ancient Greeks. Sasha and Malia, I love you both more than you can imagine, and you have earned the new puppy that's coming with us to the White House. I miss them tonight, and know that my debt to them is beyond measure.
