Here is an article on MASHABLE by Amy-Mae Elliott on how to set up a Google+ brand page.   So, it might be worth your time to consider trying Google+ out, even if you're already on Facebook and Twitter. At the very least, Google+, unlike Facebook, is picked up by Google search engines.

In the first five days it's up there on LinkedIn Pulse, only 23 people have visited it. The shame is intense. It's analogous to publishing a book and, within the first months, having it fall to the millionth ranking on Amazon. That means, of course, that 999,999 other books have better sales than yours.

Last week I noticed that alternate free newspaper the NEW HAVEN ADVOCATE had an ad right on its front page.    Now the venerable WASHINGTON POST will also be having ads on its front page.   It was on the very bottom.    But it was there.    Since that alternate is positioned as "pure," versus the impure mainstream media, I was shocked.
