You’re going to have to create printed handouts or electronic handouts that people can view on their own devices, close up. Yes, you’ll have slides, but you’ll supplement them with handouts. For more flexibility, you can create your handout by sending the presentation to Microsoft Word. Follow these steps: In PowerPoint 2013, choose File, Export, Create Handouts and click the Create Handouts button.

Presentation Handouts: Are They Useful for Your Audience?

Most presenters at most presentations give handouts to the audience. And the presentation handout was born. Now I'm not suggesting that every handout is a useless piece of stuff. But I am suggesting that, somewhere along the way, we've lost our common sense about when a handout is helpful and what makes it helpful. Before you fall into these habits, ask yourself whether the audience even needs a handout. So do handouts have any value?

Computer programs make it very easy to create totally customized handouts for your presentations. Most of the time I customize the inside of the handout too. I always try to put something fun in the handout. This virtually insured that the handout would not be thrown away.

Design for quick changes–because changes always happen

Some people present from printed slides and others use the slides in a handout (usually with added notes). You can only embed videos in PowerPoint 2010 and later, but embedding videos will greatly reduce the times that the video doesn’t play.
