  We want posts on our digital sites which boost metrics.    We want book blurbs on Amazon.com which don't get folks excited.    We want them to click on the book and proceed to the check-out counter. another help-wanted  requiring "passionate" such-and-such.    Another case of lemmings or group think?    After all, in the writing business we are looking for results.    End of story.

  In the now-classic book on marketing LEITFADEN INTEGRIERTE KOMMUNIKATION [GUIDE TO INTEGRATED COMMUNICATIONS] by Manfred Bruhn, the assumption is that globally competition is no longer among organizations' products and services.  Another useful read is MULTICHANNNEL MARKETING: METRICS AND METHODS FOR ON AND OFFLINE SUCCESS.  We sure had our fun.      Those of us who had digital down cold rode the range like the Marlboro Man/Woman.  

If it isn't in POLITICO, it didn't happen in Washington D.C.

  And there are the metrics which give the thumbs up or the thumbs down that blogger or reporter X or Y should stay.    But I am getting the goggle juice I need in all the right categories to receive offers for communications assignments and even to promote my new book OVER-50: HOW WE KEEP WORKING.  NEW YORK TIME MAGAZINE's supposed expose on POLITICO didn't disclose much , at least not that we already know.
