At my very first NSA conference back in the early 90’s, I remember hearing a speaker named Barb Schwartz say “no body ever said bigger was better”. Barb and her husband were burnt out from trying to support all of their employees in their speaking and training business. I’ve always kept that idea top of mind when planning my business growth.

That one helps me every time I speak at a CAPS or NSA Chapter. In case you’ve been living under a rock, the 2010 Olympics just wrapped up in Vancouver. Team Canada’s theme was “Own The Podium”. Now, I wasn’t 100% in favor of that message as I thought an athlete’s journey was important too, but in the end it was effective.

The Northern California Chapter of the National Speakers Association (NSA/NC) was founded in 1980. Ken Ken is still active in NSA/NC and is also a member of the Pro-Track class of 2009 - taking his speaking career to the next level.
