One of our greatest Bay Area resources for learning about current events and watching an array of talented, educational and inspiring speakers is the Commonwealth Club of California . We are lucky to have the Commonwealth Club of California right here in the Bay Area but many local communities offer similar live current events calendars. The Northern California Chapter of the National Speakers Association (NSA/NC) was founded in 1980.
Ken Ken Braly was one of the founding members. He served as President in 1984-85. Ken is still active in NSA/NC and is also a member of the Pro-Track class of 2009 - taking his speaking career to the next level.

The long day at TEDxTokyo (though it seemed short) felt just like being at TED in California...with The inaugural TEDxTokyo last Friday was an absolute success. In fact, it kicked some serious butt (oshiri). Sure, not all the talks were home runs from a delivery standpoint — but most were — and everyone on stage certainly made a memorable contribution that day.
