Each year, Global Citizen Year (GCY) selects a Corps of high school seniors, and supports them through apprenticeships with social enterprises in Asia, Africa and Latin America during a “bridge year” before college. They continued to hear the resounding refrain: “I really wish I could just see this visually, it would be much easier to explain and be much more powerful!” Duarte has a very special spot in our heart for cause-related work . Aside from allowing us to think outside the box and reach a global audience, it  makes us feel all warm and fuzzy inside,

His fundraising on-line, using his organization skills to create OFA (Obama For America - now known as Organizing For America) and his bevy of volunteers helped propel him to the Presidency. While I still feel that Obama is an effective speaker, he needs to realize that the power of his speeches are starting to diminish because he is speaking too much. In 2008, then candidate Barack Obama revolutionized the way campaigns were done. However, it was his speech making that defined him.

Throughout time, stories have been a powerful tool to communicate points and make them memorable.  On America’s Got Talent, it seems like we spend at least half our time getting to know the history and personalities of the competitors.  And because of the magnetic power of stories, the points you make will have more impact and will be remembered longer. People love stories.  This is illustrated time and again in almost everything we see on television. 
A new book titled  The Power Presenter: Technique, Style and Strategy from America’s Top Speaking Coach focuses on improving your delivery, what you say and how you say it. Recently I read a good book by Jerry Weissman called The Power Presenter: Technique, Style, and Strategy from America's Top Speaking Coach.
