In preparation for an upcoming Power Sales Writing workshop, I’ve been reviewing my client’s writing examples. So when you tell your customers (or me) that you’ve spent X amount renovating , it doesn’t tell me that the project, venue or hotel is any good. hotel, property, project, venue help your customers? And I have to say  if I read about one more gabillion dollar renovation, I’m going to scream. (Clients, Clients, clients, clients, I love  you and I know you know better than this…)

Registration is now open for the July 27 Washington Women in Public Relations professional development workshop I'll be leading on "Step Up Your Speaking: Be an Eloquent Woman." I'll share an overview of the issues women face when they want to speak up, whether in large venues or small meetings, and then we'll let the audience set the agenda--so bring your questions about how to handle public speaking skills from gestures and wardrobe to messaging and handling Q&A. Now for the bad: •    In probably 80-90% of most business and conference settings speakers have a message to give – at keynote speeches and large company events - the large audience venues.
