I take my Twitter stream very seriously.  I've been on Twitter for about a year and a half now and I look at it much differently than I used to.  I save my personal, often goofy statuses for Facebook and try to spread as much value to my Twitter followers as possible in the areas I'm passionate about.  Website - Shortened URL

In a previous post, I explored  common concerns about Twitter usage in presentations and concluded that Twitter offers many benefits in terms of audience involvement and engagement. However, seeing the benefits of using Twitter and being able to incorporate it effectively into your presentation are two very different things.

Business speakers (and leaders, keynoters, politicians, Pastors and, well, everyone…) need to be aware that like it or not, Twitter is coming to their speaking experience. There's been a lot of buzz - and new insight - into what to do about people twittering while you are speaking. Be Aware, and Beware!

Since the 2008 Zuckerberg interview, SXSW has to be one of the largest scale laboratories for using Twitter while at a conference.  Many saw how that particular “interview&# rapidly took a nosedive, spurred by backchannel twitter chatter live during the event.
