On Promoting Books Books do not sell themselves; people sell books. If your book fails to sell, you did not know your market. Review copies are the least expensive and most effective way to promote books. It is easier to promote one book twice than to write a new book. The secret to successful publishing is not to publish more and more books, but to effectively market those books already published.

That’s part of the misery and the fun of writing it seems. It takes about two months to write the book proposal, including a sample chapter. It takes 5 to 6 months of full time work to write and research the first draft.
Along with draft 2, I get plans for promotion, book tour, endorsements/blurbs and the rest of it.
I’ve only written three books, including this one, but it seems I have a process now that works for me. Every book far has been different and tricky for its own reasons.

The economy is unfreezing enough for those needing promotional vehicles to take a look at those drafts hanging around offices. Tags: Writin 0160; What they're finding when they review those manuscripts for books, articles, opinion-editorials, startup blogs, and web content seems not to be ready for primetime.
Turn over those drafts for significant discounts on ghostwriting - in all media, print, digital, audio, video and in-person.

You Must Persuade Me to Act or Your Beautiful Promotional Piece Will Sleep with the Fishes
was perversely inspired to write this because of a recent gorgeous direct mailing I received from local French restaurant.
On one side of the 3" x 7" promotion piece the name of the restaurant served as the headline. I They did a lot of things right.
