When I travel to deliver customized workshops or speak at conferences, I carry the normal equipment for a presenter: my laptop, presentation remote and projector if required. This cord came in handy in March when I was a speaker at a conference in Los Angeles and I used the cord to help out a panel session where the laptop wasn’t close to where the panel was seated. In today’s tip, I want to share with you a few of the other pieces of equipment I carry that come in handy when travelling. I know all of these are perfectly OK to carry on an airplane since I regularly have

THE SET-UP (What happened and what was said during the workshop before the monologue was delivered.)
Mid-way through the workshop Fripp accidently used the word STUFF. I’ve known Fripp for more than 20 years and shared a story from an NSA chapter meeting in Los Angeles.

We normally open each improv workshop, and warm-up before a show, with energy-building exercises. In one of our Santa Maria shows we hosted a guest player from Los Angeles, Dan O’Conner. Improv comedy skills are not just for the stage. The principles which make for great humor also apply to leadership skills and building strong relationships.

Part of what prompted the creation of Speaking Pro Central was a presentation that I was doing to the Los Angeles chapter of the NSA. I’m very much looking forward to continued conversation on this topic and plan to do a little bit of blogging here about things related to my personal Speaking and Workshop Services .
The presentation was on the use of Social Media - especially Blogging, Twitter and LinkedIn as a means of building reputation and reaching prospects. I
