Dana, one of the speakers being coached, posted a profile on our club’s web site. I was reviewing the club’s web site today and noticed that Dana’s profile says “It’s OK for you to call me Pretty Boy.” actually had visited the club’s web site that day, but not for the purpose of creating humor. Here is an opportunity for you to see and hear an Observational Humor monologue presented on January 25, 2010. It was delivered at the end of a program, “Good to Great — Speech coaching with Patricia Fripp and Darren LaCroix.”

We're not there yet, but clarity and simplicity are the goal. Las Vegas: an odd place to talk about simplicity? A few weeks ago, I opened for the Synergy Conference at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas. Just two days before this same arena was the site of the Pacquiao v. As our world gets more complex, discussions about simplicity grow. Yet, ironically the issue of simplicity itself — what it is, how we attain it, etc. — is not at all simple.
