We're not there yet, but clarity and simplicity are the goal. Las Vegas: an odd place to talk about simplicity? A few weeks ago, I opened for the Synergy Conference at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas. As our world gets more complex, discussions about simplicity grow. Yet, ironically the issue of simplicity itself — what it is, how we attain it, etc. — is not at all simple.

(I'm May 4-7, Las Vegas (USA) I'm really pumped about this one. I'll be opening the Synergy Conference early in the morning on the 4th, then I Next week I'll be up in Tokyo meeting with friends to talk about TEDx Tokyo. In the evening of April 7 I'll be giving a presentation in the Apple Store theatre in Ginza.

On December 13th, I toured the new Crystals Mall at City Center with my great pal and best client, Dan Maddux, Executive Director of The American Payroll Association and new meeting location MEET Las Vegas. While only 20% of the retail stores are open, a full house of luxury retail will soon ascend in the coming months. Here is a brief bit Observational Humor I used as an opening remark at the Las Vegas Chapter of the National Speakers Association. 0160; Her program included individual coaching of audience members presenting speech openings. 0160; Patricia Fripp was the featured speaker presenting a full-day program. I typically open my speeches with Observational Humor, so my “speech opening” was a short segment of humor.

Las Vegas or Detroit?
Detroit is taking meeting business that would normally be suited for Las Vegas or other resort destinations.
wish I was smart enough to figure out how Vegas can get back the business they’re losing. Knowing the Dixie Chicks are right that “time heals everything” doesn’t help if you’re in any “ So where would you rather hold your next convention? No, this isn’t a bad joke.
