So Diandra , Erik, Ryan , and I holed away in the conference room drawing, cutting, mocking up many ideas. We created many mock-ups and ideas that hit the cutting room floor. The first book cover design had near unanimous feedback that it looked too much like Seth Godin’s Tribes book: Argh.

I shared a ‘Core Conversation’ yesterday afternoon at SXSW with the consummate professional speaker Tim Sanders , author of Love is the Killer App , The Likeability Factor , and Saving the World at Work . We talk a lot about organizing our content, main points, opening and closing, but we rarely talk about how to get from one segment to the next. How do you handle the spaces in between your points, stories, examples, and exercises? These are your transitions .
