When Peter was granted a new trial and allowed to return home with an electronic monitoring device, that was supposed to end the crisis. 0160; After all, he was out of prison. There was hope he could be acquitted.

Now this. 0160; Andrew and Cheri Young - yes that couple who were so involved with John Edwards - are being ordered to 75 days in jail by a judge. 0160; That's because they allegedly withheld copies of the John Edwards's sex tape and other items from the court.

In the second half of '09, newsstand copies of VOGUE were down 15.1%. 0160; During the same timeframe, those of VANITY FAIR were up.

Holding back comment, then speaking with care, can hold great persuasive power, as we've seen this month with Caroline Kennedy's New York Times op-ed piece endorsing Barack Obama for president . Those who dread speaking often use "eloquent" to describe those for whom words come easily, even too easily. Perhaps it's my work coaching speakers and subjects of media interviews , or my original work as a journalist, or just too many years of working in Washington, which I lovingly call "a small town with a lot of hot air," but I've come to pay more attention to the held-back voice,

My personal take is that although purposeful pacing can work as a gimmick or for short segments of frenetic energy, stillness holds up better with time. Clint Eastwood, speaking about how to act on camera said, "Don't just do something - stand there." Eddie Murphy told Chris Rock to pace the stage like a panther during his standup routines. So when the topic arises of how we move our body in front of an audience, how are we supposed to know which advice to follow?

We recently reported on the news that Cisco had acquired Tandberg, the Norway based video communication business, but it seems they may decide to drop their bid.
Less than 10% of Tandberg’s shareholders accepted Cisco’s $3 billion offer. Cisco have now extended the deadline to 18th November, but have said that if its offer is not accepted by the required 90% of Tandberg’s shareholders, it will withdraw.
