Today, the tools for sharing what's happening, live and in real time, are right in your mobile phone or laptop. Who stands where: At a TEDx event in New York focused one education, speaker Jeff Jarvis told his listeners, "You should be up here." He was speaking to the audience's expertise, but many speakers also are moving into the audience to hold listeners' attention, make a stronger connection and provide some visual variety. I've taken to creating blog posts with useful links after my major addresses-- they become the "handout" and the context, all in one. Who watches:

I knew that much of the information I'd hear I had already heard, whether it be from Nancy or Garr's books or a number of recorded and online presentations they've done. Tags: Event I'm back, blogging from the airport again - this time from the surprisingly small but accommodating San Jose Airport. Even though it's the size of a shoebox, I had a few dining selections and the internet is free (which should be a LAW now in all airports and hotels, IMO). I've followed her blog for years, and although we've never met in person, I somehow feel like I know her.
