It was encouraging this afternoon at my 12-step meeting when some sad-looking man, when forced to share, told us of his inability to stop his preoccupation with checking out. Mistakingly an email was sent from a remote assignment I had applied for. 0160; When I emailed back requesting the time of the conference call, oops, the powers-that-be apologized. Maybe I hang in the wrong circles. 0160; For the past few months, including today, I have been hearing too much about suicide ideation.

Whether it’s a co-worker, colleague in another division or a vendor prospecting for your business, all of us make immediate judgment calls about people – about their credibility and the value of the emessage – by the tone of the email and the way it’s written.
