You can be a really great platform speaker and still not get people to refer you for other speaking engagements. I offer 10 percent if someone calls because of Joe and makes me jump through all the normal hoops to send press kits, demo materials and keeps me on the phone for hours to see if I'm the right fit for their audience. I suggest you get a copy for tons of other ideas on getting people to refer you. I don't know why that is. I

One one projector, we had the slide deck and on the other, a demo. Pretty What he had on his easel was intended to be a reference for the audience, but in turn ended up merely a pointless distraction.
I’ve had to sit though some presentations recently where when it came to visuals, the presenters took cramming information in the audience’s face to a whole new level. One Pretty innocuous there, outside the typical excess text and map shock-laden diagrams. What

Your media kit should include: A folder with an eye-catching cover - to hold contents neatly; if you are sending your media kit in PDF format, make sure the cover page presents as a folder cover An introduction letter customized to meet the needs of the recipient Speakers bio (also referred to as a one-sheet) with your photograph (black & white or color, preferably a head shot with white background) List of topics / presentations, along with a description or outline of each topic Fee schedule: include your entire fee schedule (including international rates) Six recent speaking references

I am becoming increasingly aware of the the need to make clear a distinction between the broad concept of digital learning content, in all its many varieties, and the much narrower idea of interactive tutorials of the traditional CBT (computer-based training) variety.

like seeing a smile cross a bored face during a demo, and I love hearing someone who was tired when he walked in yelling out an enthusiastic answer to one of my questions so that he might win an iPod five minutes later. :-) However, yes, it does take a tremendous amount of energy.
