I was completely unable to add any more than two guides (one horizontal, one vertical).  There was a nice feature where you can move bars to the left or right without editing the data table.  It was with great joy that last month, I uninstalled Office 2004.  The software, PowerPoint 2004 included, were getting on my nerves and there was nothing that suite could do to repair the broken relationship we had.
