In a perfect world, every new presentation would be prepared from scratch, tailored exactly to the specific audience. But in reality, you sometimes have to cobble together a “new presentation” from pre-existing material.

Kathy Saenz of Neighborhood America Shares What It Takes to Make Video an Effective Content Marketing Tool
Kathy notes that there is a danger of using video to share the same boring statistics or data that handicap effective print communications. It is difficult enough to use content marketing effectively in a more traditional verbal and static visual context. Many audiences will demand that the sources for a statistic appear on the slide itself, but at the very least you have to say what your source is before you show the data. Bill's 2005 talk is not one of my favorites because of the delivery, but rather for the content and the story. Many say that Mehrabian's findings mean content is worth 7% of the message and 'body language' is worth 93%. think most statistical research can be faulted in some way - and as Mark Twain said, " There are three kinds of lies: lies, damned lies, and statistics. " But what is the essence of the findings? every participant coming in content burdened and behaviorally challenged in some way - exhibiting an inconsistent message.
There's been a lot of unfortunate controversy among communication professionals about Professor Albert Mehrabian's oft quoted research (below.)
