OK, so you’ve got enough passion for a subject to write a book, and you get that it takes a long time – maybe two years or more. Don’t write the book. 0160; That’s so important that I’ll say it again, in all caps: DON’T WRITE THE BOOK. 0160; You’re prepared for the long haul. 0160; What’s the next step?

Take extra effort to create a positive impression every time you write. And, really, is there anything more annoying than the colleague who bolds every message, responds in all caps, or emails back “no” to your request?)
Improve your business reputation and write right!
You open an email and form an opinion of the writer. Bam!

=> Black, blue and green inks have the greatest visibility. => Blue is the most pleasing color to look at with red coming in second (note: pleasing to look at and visibility are not the same) => Do not do the whole chart in red ink. => Avoid purple, brown, pink and yellow inks. => Permanent markers give the most vivid color but dry out faster if you leave the cap off. Forget trying to get the ink out of your clothes. => Water colors are less vivid and squeak when you write. They also frequently bleed thru to the next page. Ink will wash out of clothing.

Recently I learned what a hot topic grammatical errors can be when one of my favorite blogs, Article Writing and Marketing Insights from Ezine Articles, took a subject close to my heart and made it relevant to everyone who writes.

All that being said, there is one thing I think would have capped this speech off perfectly. Write from the recipient’s viewpoint. Make it easy for them to read (caps and lower case, punctuation, proper spelling). One of the most charming things about Twitter is that you have to say what you want to say in 140 characters. And it’s amazing how everyone can do it. Abbreviations are used, yes, but more than that,

& It's primarily temperament -and that's largely habit-induced - which stands between us and making a good buck. 0160; That "writer's" temperament tends to be self-absorbed or reflecting back inside.
