This year, PPTLive was in Atlanta. My husband wonders how I can learn anything more about PowerPoint, but I can. Glen Millar ( www.pptworkbench.com ) showing off his over-the-top animations that you can’t believe he did in PowerPoint. Many of her ideas are in my tip, Create a better PowerPoint template . I’m still processing all that I heard and learned. Overall, it was a great conference, as usual.

But I am in Atlanta and looking forward to the next few days! The word "Atlanta" is made of a skyline shot of downtown Atlanta (at night). Tags: PowerPoin I am very happy to have made it to PPT Live this year with the crazy project schedule and it being on the other side of the country I feared I would miss out on this great event. Just for fun I quickly created this slide using the great, but often overlooked, feature of picture fills for text.

It has been totally rewritten and the focus is on helping your PowerPoint presentations be more effective. Next, it is time to do my survey on what annoys you about bad PowerPoint presentations. I’ll also present the results at PowerPoint Live during my keynote address on the last day of the conference. Summer is over for those of us who have kids. Our kids started back to school today and I know many others started back in the last few weeks.

When I learned of Michael Jackson’s death yesterday, I recalled the time that I saw him here in Atlanta at the old Fulton County Stadium. They use PowerPoint perfectly. He was at the height of his popularity before he became embroiled in a series of bizarre scandals. We sat in the upper deck of the arena and watched him on a giant screen above the stage.
