I am pleased to share this beautiful performance by concert pianist Freddy Kempf , who truly embodies the notion of poise, power and passion. One of my passions in life is helping my clients and those in my online community improve and strengthen their speaking and presentation skills so that their message will have a powerful impact on all those who hear it. We enjoyed a lively show by They Might Be Giants yesterday afternoon. I was reminded of the power of endings when I went to another Red Rocks concert a few weeks back--this time it was David Gray (with Aimme Mann and Beth Orton). And not in the style of the middle of a David Gray concert where the prevalent emotion must surely be "will this ever end?" know, first hand, that Bruce Springsteen fans yell “Bruuuuuce” at his concerts, which to many people new to his concerts, sounds exactly like people booing. If aliens landed at a lecture they’d be very confused about what’s going on at the end. Why is it we strike our hands together violently to indicate we’re appreciative of what someone did?
That is my annoying ex-wife’s.   - I sure hope that’s Decaf!   - I don’t care that little Billy is going to his concert tonight…I’ll get fired if this ringtone goes off in the office.   - They’re making me name that tune before they’ll transfer me to the help desk.    - I feel like I’m on a reality TV show called “So You Think You Can Hold?” It’s time for the July Cartoon Caption Contest results.  Our contests feature the art of professional cartoonist Dan Rosandich.
But like Michael Jackson in that concert, they fail to connect. When I learned of Michael Jackson’s death yesterday, I recalled the time that I saw him here in Atlanta at the old Fulton County Stadium. He was at the height of his popularity before he became embroiled in a series of bizarre scandals. We sat in the upper deck of the arena and watched him on a giant screen
