Recently I stumbled upon a 2007 blog post from Neil Patel at QuickSprout.com .  If you read my work even on a semi-regular basis, you'll know that I hardly ever speak from a pedestal and never put other people's work down.  It involves some simple design techniques that anyone can use, but it does involve working hard.  It was entitled "The Lazy Man's Way to Building a Great PowerPoint Presentation."   I have to say, I found myself disagreeing with most of it...so so

I read an article recently where the public speaking expert said that public speaking is not a performance; it's about making a connection with the audience. Thinking of the presentation as a performance might contribute to some public speaking anxiety, while thinking of it as a conversation with friends might reduce some anxiety.
